How do I Buy Crypto on Metal Pay?

This article will outline how you can buy crypto on Metal Pay.

Note: Minimum order value will be displayed in-app. Also, please keep in mind that using certain funding sources will incur a fee (click here to learn more).

Getting Started:

Step 1: Select the Crypto card

1. Tap on the Crypto Card on the Metal Pay home screen to go to the Marketplace
2. Tap on the crypto asset you would like to buy
3. Tap on the 'Buy' button
4. Select the amount you want to buy and check the ‘Select a payment method’ box in the middle of the screen to make sure you're purchasing with your preferred method.
   • Buying with debit or credit card: If you want to link your debit card or credit card (Only US customers can link a VISA card):
     1. Tap on the '+' icon, tap on the ‘Bank card’ button
     2. Enter your card number and expiration date
     3. Enter your CVV code and tap on the 'Done' button, and tap on 'Continue' if all the info is correct. 
     4. To finish linking the card, enter the postal code associated with your card's billing address.
     5. Tap on the ‘Link card to Metal Pay’ button
     6. Your debit card is now linked. Click on the box and select the debit card you'd like to use.
   • Buying with other Crypto:
     1. Click on the ‘Select a payment method’ box in the middle of the Buy screen to change your payment method
     2. From there, scroll down to find the desired crypto you'd like to trade

Step 2: Enter the amount you want to buy:

1. Select the amount you want to buy and check the ‘Select a payment method’ box in the middle of the screen to make sure you're purchasing with your preferred method.

Step 3: Finalize purchase:

1. Tap on the 'Review' button.
2. Review the purchase.
3. Tap on the ‘Buy Crypto' button to confirm.

Cryptocurrency transactions are highly volatile and risky. All sales after submission are final. Metal Pay cannot cancel or reverse cryptocurrency transactions and is not liable for any errors, losses, or delays.
