In order to have full access to all of the features of the Metal Pay app you’ll need to finish the identity verification process.
Fully verifying your Metal Pay account allows the following benefits:
- Ability to buy with your credit or debit card. (Selling to cash is temporarily unavailable at this time)
- Ability to buy USDC with your credit or debit card to save for later purchases (either recurring or when the price is right!)
Getting Started:
Step 1: Tap on the Crypto card, USDC card, or the green Deposit button.
Step 2: Tap on the ‘Finish Verifying your account’ button.
Step 3: Enter your address.
Step 4: Enter your Date of Birth
Step 5: Enter your Social Security Number and tap ‘Continue'. (Click here to learn Why we ask for your SSN and government-issued ID)
Step 6: Click on “Start Verification”
Step 7: Select the Document you intend to scan. (ID or Passport)
Step 8: Allow Metal Pay to access your Camera.
Step 9: Center the front of your ID in the box, all corners need to be visible. Tap the “Capture” button.
Step 10: Review your photo. If it is clear and all the information is visible, click continue. If not, click “Retake” and try again.
Step 11: If you are using a drivers license or ID repeat the same process for the back of your ID or continue on if you are using a passport.
Step 12: Now it’s time to take a live selfie. Remove your glasses or and/or hat. Hold your phone to your face and make sure your face fits within the oval frame.
Step 13: Your information will be processed and you’ll see a success message shortly.
Congratulations! You now have full access to Metal Pay!
